The world and its distant cousins by now know that King of Bollywood blew 49 candles on his birthday cake. But only SpotboyE.com got a whiff that Shahrukh Khan did something more on his big day. There were three units of Fan, which is SRK’s next, shooting the revelry of the actor entering his 50th year, inside and outside the iconic Mannat. For the last 14 years, fans, which have been gathering outside his palatial Bandstand home, to wish him.
And each year, the superstar never disappoints his fans. He ensures to meet them from a podium erected specially for the day against the wall of his bungalow. This year was no different - he stood up and nearly crossed the wired fence of his house to wish his many screaming fans on the streets. All this was carefully captured by three camera units from Yash Raj Films that is producing Fan, which is slated to release August 2015.
The camera units have been stationed for the last three days at Mannat to shoot the asli fans of the star, and portions of these shots will be used in the film to show the stars fan-following. A production reveals, “We have been here for three days just to gather these fan shots, which are crucial to the film as it has SRK playing a star and his lookalike fan. These shots will be incorporated in the beginning and the end of the film. We have a unit stationed atop a building, his terrace and one on the main gate to get different angles. And we also have real cops in it, which lend authenticity to the shots. No amount of junior artistes can do what these real fans are doing for us.”
We hear that a string of shots have also been taken inside Mannat, which is also being recreated at the helipad in Film City.
